I learned on today that a very close childhood friend of my family passed away a few months ago and I'm not sure what hurts more knowing that I lost my friend or knowing I didn't do enough of being a friend while he was alive. I knew he was sick but I got so caught up in my own day to day life that I never reached out to him.
