I attended St. Ambrose College and was in some music classes with Mel. These were summers in the 1960's. S. Mel acquired a guitar for me to learn and then start "Guitar Masses" at Sacred Heart Church, Moline, IL. I was a Peoria Franciscan in that era. S. Mel was most congenial to everyone and helpful as well. May she rest in the Lord's goodness.
