Condolence: I remember the fun times with Sister Mel at Saint Patrick's Grade School. Still remember some of the songs we sang. Very cheerful and fun lady!

Condolence: I attended St. Ambrose College and was in
some music classes with Mel. These were summers in the 1960's. S. Mel acquired a guitar for me to learn and then start "Guitar Masses" at Sacred Heart Church, Moline, IL. I was a Peoria Franciscan in that era.
S. Mel was most congenial to everyone and helpful as well. May she rest in the Lord's
goodness.

Condolence: Sister Mel was a dear friend of mine who extended an invitation to me to become an associate with the Sisters of St. Francis almost 25 years ago. I enjoyed her sense of humor, smile, and playing the guitar. I will cherish the memories of being with her and honored to be her friend. I am glad that every time we said goodbye it was with a huge hug!
