Condolence: The Leo Oberman family would like to send out heartfelt thanks to everyone who came to dad's funeral services today . I am sure he was smiling from above seeing the turnout and hearing the nice words spoken about him. I am proud to be his daughter. Thank you to those who have posted nice words on this memory book and to Lemke Funeral Services staff for helping to send my dad to his final resting place with warmth and kindness. Carla

Condolence From: Matt Stierman
Condolence: Dear Oberman family: I am sorry to hear of Mr. Oberman's passing. As a boy, I spent a lot of time over at the Oberman house with Russ. I have many fond memories of Mr. Oberman kidding around with us and shooting baskets with Russ and I and the many other neighborhood kids. If he ever got annyoyed that I was over there all the time, he sure didn't show it. He gave me more than a few rides home after games and had encouraging and interesting things to say. I remember him always being thoughtful and soft spoken. You all have my sympathy and the sympathy of the entire Stierman family. Sincerely, Matt Stierman

Condolence: Leo was a man I remember to be quiet and a loving family man. We were able to know him through JoyAnn and Kayla, Roger's daughters. May God bless you and give you comfort in this time of sorrow. Our Lord will wrap His arms around you and truly grant you peace.

Condolence: Dear Clara, Roger, Russel, & Carla - my heart goes out to you & your families during this painful & difficult time of loss. What stands out in my mind when I think of Leo and & his values that are evident in your families is the importance of being down to earth, finding humor in everyday things, hard work, and spending time with loved ones. May God and time help to ease your pain and give you strength and courage in the days ahead.

Condolence: Heartfelt sympathies go out to the entire family. So many fond, loving memories of this kind, gentle man who clearly loved his family, adored his wife and was such a wonderful grampa, bustin' his buttons with pride. Never a card playing fan myself, I used to watch his 'little addiction' and still swear to this day that he was just making it up as he went-that stinker. I'm sure he's already met up with my dad in Heaven and has challenged him to a game of cribbage! It'll be a match of Navy vs Marines! I know he will be missed by so many-along with his corny quips & jokes too! I feel blessed to have known Leo and always appreciated his efforts at making sure I felt welcomed into his family. He now knows comfort, suffers no more and will share everlasting peace with our Lord. God bless you all in this time of great loss & sorrow. Love, Barb

Condolence: My dad could talk to a stranger and become friends in an instant..and always had a silly joke to share.I feel I picked up that trait from him and probably led to my ease in my radio career and in my other public speaking. My dad was s simple man and never needed anything fancy . He and my mom went without many "perks" they could have enjoyed in life so that my brothers and I ,and our children could benefit . Putting us all through college and buying us new cars and many many other things. I know he always felt bad that he worked so much when we were young but he did this for all of us and knew we were in good hands with Mom. My dad made it known he was proud of all of us and that he loved us . My dad taught me to work hard, be good, and be honest . When I would struggle at work feeling unappreciated etc. he would say "Make them miss you when you are gone." Now that is exactly what he has done. He will be missed by many. I was with my dad at his passing and now like dad,I too regret I worked so much and didn't spend as much time with him as I should have. I am proud to be your daughter Dad and intend on making you proud . Rest in the peace and comfort you deserve in that great card playing /joke telling place in the sky. I love you Dad and I wish I would have told you that more . Carla
