We can say that Jim was "special"--yes, he was special to so many of us that had the privilege and joy to call him a friend. My memories of Jim go back to the time he was with the Special Olympics group who came to the YW. He would become a long time member who, when entering the YW, would always open my office door (never knocked) and say, "hi sweetie" and then on to the pool.
