Wesley A. Kimmer, 77, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, September 30, 2016. Funeral services will be take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service. A visitation will occur one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Wesley was born March 4, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Lloyd and Alice (Lussier) Kimmer. He attended St. Mary's High School and later acquired his GED. He was united in marriage to Arlene Ann Flynn on June 27, 1960 in Camanche, Iowa.
Wesley worked at Clinton Corn Processing, retiring after 25 years. He then owned and operated River City Coins and Jewelry. He was a member of the Numismatic coin club and a member of the CB club in town.
He enjoyed participating in his bowling league, fishing, he loved the company of his dogs and he loved riding his Honda Gold Wing, taking trip's with his wife. Above all he loved his family very much and will be sadly missed.

Wesley is survived by his wife Arlene of Clinton, IA; ; two daughters Beth (Terry) Burmeister of Clinton, IA, Deborah (Mark) Hansen of Clinton, IA; two sons - Robert Kimmer of Clinton, IA and Randy (Hope) Kimmer of Clinton, IA; five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Wesley in death were his parents; one son - Raymond; two sisters and three brothers.
