Obituary for Warren Garrison "Gary" Stubblefield

Warren Garrison “Gary” Stubblefield, 70 years of age, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday July 17, 2020 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Gary was born on April 12, 1950, in Clinton, Iowa, son of Warren G. Stubblefield Sr. and Agnes Brown. Gary attended Clinton Community Schools and graduated from Clinton High School.

Gary served in the United States Air Force. After serving his country, he and his family returned to Clinton, where he secured employment at DuPont. After several years at DuPont, Gary moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he worked for Greyhound Bus Lines and eventually retired.

Gary enjoyed socializing and talking politics with everyone, especially his long-time friend Willie Brown. Gary is survived by his son Tony Stubblefield of Eugene, Oregon; two granddaughters, Arianna Magana of Chicago, IL and Talaysia Tanner of Omaha, NE; great grandson, AJ Stubblefield of Omaha, NE; brothers, Gene, Al and Scott Stubblefield of Clinton, IA and Anthony Stubblefield of Madison, WI; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Agnes; two brothers, Richard and George Stubblefield.

The visitation for Warren Stubblefield will take place on Friday, July 24, 2020, at Lemke Funeral Homes from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. A celebration of life will immediately follow from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Graveside service for immediate family only will take place on Rock Island Arsenal.

The family would like to extend an invite to Gary’s repast at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2020, at Clysar Pavilion in Clinton, IA.
