Obituary for Virginia May McClain

Virginia May McClain, 85, of Morrison, Illinois passed away peacefully at Pleasant View Nursing Home, in Morrison, on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Funeral services will take place at 6 pm on Tuesday, July 10, at Lemke Funeral Homes - North Chapel (2304 North Second Street, Clinton, Iowa). A visitation will occur 2 hours prior to the funeral service from 4 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services on Tuesday with burial at a later date.

Virginia was born September 9, 1932 in rural Andrew, Iowa, the daughter of Delbert and Verneda (Oster) Dague. Virginia Dague was united in marriage to Owen "Jim" McClain December 9, 1964 in Sterling, Illinois.

Virginia was an enthusiastic and motivational member of TOPS - Chapter 0821, in Thomson, IL.
She loved to crotchet and read. Above all, she loved her family very much, especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Virginia is survived by her 4 daughters – Dianna Sandholdt of Clinton, IA; Lisa (Wayne) Boles of Morrison, IL; Terri (Lyle) Boles of Morison, IL; and Dawn (Glenn) Stuart of Fulton, IL; 1 son – Michael (Dawn) McClain of Morrison, IL; 25 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother Paul (Judy) Dague of Clinton, IA; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding Virginia in death were her parents, her husband, 1 son, 1 granddaughter, 1 grandson, 1 great-granddaughter, 1 great-grandson, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.

Memorials made can be directed to the family.
The family would like to thank everyone for all the support given to our family with encouragement, prayers, hugs, guidance, and more over the past several months, it has been greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
