When her health permitted, she enjoyed spending time playing cards, dice games, reading and socializing with her friends, neighbors and family; she also enjoyed gardening before selling her home in 2006. There are many who will remark about the excellent meals she cooked and all the baking that she loved to do for others as this was her greatest pastime. But the one thing she cherished most was her family and those hours spent together with them and traveling with them when health allowed. She witnessed several changes in our world as we know it today and enjoyed trying to keep up with most of them. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and worked for several years at Nielson's Clearing House before taking a disability retirement in 1976.
Vera lived a wholesome life. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her and she has left a legacy of cherished memories behind for all to remember her by.
May she rest in eternal peace within the arms of her Maker.....
