Obituary for Tyreice Rhashaun "Ty" Bolden
Tyreice “Ty” Rhashaun Bolden, 23, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away at St Lukes Hospital on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Funeral services take place at 3 pm on Friday, July 15, at Lemke Funeral Homes — South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr.). A visitation occurs 2 hours prior from 1 pm until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial follows at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Tyreice was born on September 14, 1998 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Maurice (Erica) Bolden and Joni Presson. Ty worked at Iowa Plains Signing, Inc. based in Cedar Rapids.
Tyreice loved to travel, play softball, golf and hang out with friends. Tyreice was known as “the glue” that held his friends together. His smile would light up any room. Tyreice will be incredibly missed.
Left to cherish Ty’s memory are his parents — Maurice (Erica) Bolden and Joni Presson; love of his life — Grace “D” Ovenshire; grandmothers — Patrice Bolden and Sharon Presson; grandfather – John Presson; two brothers — Quamai and Kegan; three sisters — Maaliyah, Markquitta and Nevaeh; four aunts — Lawanda, Dominique, Crystal and Amy; three uncles — Terrell , Ricky and Paul; other extended family, with a host of nephews cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-uncle Brian Morris, uncle Lee Carroll, grandfather Harry Guilford, grandmother Joann Carroll, great-grandmothers Marjorie Morris and Mary Morris and great-grandfather Solomon Morris.
