Obituary for Tommy L. "Naughty" Naughton

Tommy L. “Naughty” Naughton, 71, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Monday, June, 13, 2022. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of his life on July 10th at the Clysar Pavilion from 1 pm to 5 pm. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Tommy was born July 24, 1950 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Tiburtius “Ty” and Grace (Kruse) Naughton. He was a 1969 graduate of Clinton High School.

Tommy was united in marriage to Ray Toureene on April 18, 1970 in Clinton, Iowa.

Tommy began his working career as a Union Boilermaker, local #60. Later, he would own and operate Naughty Construction in Clinton.

Tommy was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Chicago Bears Fan. He loved golfing, especially playing with his travel golf league. He was also fond of socializing and toasting with family and friends with shots of mini-beers or cherry-bombs.

Tommy is survived by his wife Ray; three children – Theresa (Tim) McCue; Tonya (Rocky) McMahon and TJ (Jaime) Naughton; grandchildren – Natallie (Kyle) Fullick, Samantha and Clare McCue, Thomas and Whitney Naughton, with bonus grandchildren – Ashley, (Brandon) Arroyo, Darian McMahon and Rocky (Dana) McMahon; great-grandchildren – Henry Fullick, Sydney, Bralynn and Kinzley Arroyo and Jakobi McMahon; his siblings – Janell (Gary) Hughes, Candace Brennan, Jane Naughton, Jeannie (Ed) Ward and Jerry (Patti) Naughton; with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his best friend – Bubba, his faithful dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Ty and Grace Naughton, sisters – Lynn and Michelle Naughton, brother in-law – Larry Brennan, parent in-laws – Bill and Lydia Toureene and sister in-laws – Penny and Peggy Toureene

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family, which in-turn will be directed to Tommy’s favorite charities.

The family extends a special thank-you to Dr. Aggarwal and his wonderful staff of oncology nurses for their compassionate care of Tommy.
