Obituary for Timothy Lee "Tim" Kaster

Timothy “Tim” Lee Kaster, 63, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Monday, April 11, 2022. Funeral services take place at 11 am on Saturday, April 16, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation occurs from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, April 15, at the Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Pallbearers will be Mike Bos, Tom Shepherd, Brian Finnicum, Dave Meyers, Kevin Ketelsen and Jared Colschen. Burial takes place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Tim was born September 23, 1958 in Centerville, Iowa the son of Veril and Helen (DuVall) Kaster. He graduated from Clinton High School. Following high school, he acquired a AAS Degree from Scott Community College in Automotive Mechanics.

Tim was united in marriage to Mary Travis on August 13, 1983 in Fenton, Illinois.

He began his career working at Hawkeye Chemical as a Process Operator. Later he would work for Lyondell in the Maintenance Department, until his retirement.

Tim enjoyed life to the fullest, whether it was motorcycling, snowmobiling, golfing, bowling or enjoying long trips with his wife Mary in their RV. He loved his fur-babies – his two cats. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.

Tim was a very giving and generous man with a kind heart who would offer his time or talent to help a friend or complete stranger. His enjoyment was putting a smile on someone’s face.

Tim is survived by his wife Mary of Clinton; son – Billy of Clinton; one brother – Ted (Cindy) Kaster of Clinton; two nieces – Katelyn (Vaughn) Dohse of Iowa City, IA and Kimberly (Michael Grasing) Kaster of Kansas City; with many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
