Thurma 'Lucille" Ven Huizen
Thurma "Lucille" Ven Huizen, 95, of Clinton passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Mercy Living Center, North. Private funeral services will be held Monday at Lemke Funeral Homes. Pastor Jennifer Henry will be officiating. Burial will take place in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Thurma was born October 15, 1915 in Chadwick, Il., the daughter of Henry and Anna (Traum) Hartman.
She married Henry Ven Huizen September 12, 1935 in Chadwick, Il., She was a homemaker, she enjoyed to bake and spend time with her family. Thurma was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Donna (Alyn) Kimble of Clinton, Julie (Ed) Sukut, of Clinton, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 7 step-great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, 4 sisters, Betty (Albert ) Notz, of Mt.Carroll, Il., Darlene Vos, of Morrison, Il., Luella ( John ) Garrison, of Sterling, Il., Helen Kramer, of Sterling, Il., and Son -In-Law, Jim Ehredt of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, daughter Carol, 12 brothers, and 2 special brother in laws, Ralph Kramer and William Vos.
Memorials can be left to Zion Lutheran Radio Fund.
