Obituary for Thomas Anthony "Tom" Zmuda

Thomas “Tom” Anthony Zmuda, 54, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Friday, February 12, 2021. Funeral services take place at 1 pm on Wednesday, February 17, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr.). A visitation occurs two hours prior from 11 am until the service hour at the Funeral Home. The funeral service will be live streamed on the “Lemke Funeral Home” Facebook page. Burial takes place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Tom was born July 26, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Stanley and Ruth (Langrehr) Zmuda. He was a graduate of Clinton High School.

Tom was an incredibly gifted musician. He sang and played drums for several bands, including the Grand Larson Band. Additionally, one of his most memorable gigs was playing in Las Vegas.

During his down time, he enjoyed camping and fishing. Above all, he loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his five sons – Mike (Heather) Zmuda of DeWitt, Matt (Amber) Zmuda of Clinton, Tommy Zmuda Jr. of Clinton, Justin (Amy) Hayton of Fulton and Nick Zmuda of Dallas, Texas; three step-children - David, Tara, and Cullen; ten grandchildren; four brothers – Ed, Jim, Joe and Dave and nine sisters – Helen, Peggy, Sue, Linda, Carol, Shirley, Kim, Donna and Virginia; two ex-wife’s – Pam and Sue; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and the many friends he met throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister – Mary and two brothers – Chuck and Bobby.
