Obituary for Thomas Lincoln "Tom-Tom" Thomas

Thomas Lincoln Thomas “Tom-Tom”, 71, of Clinton, Iowa passed away following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with a celebration of his life taking place from 4 pm to 8 pm on Monday, July 13, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Thomas was born September 15, 1948 in Carroll, Iowa the son of George and Norma (Knight) Thomas. He was a graduate of Bayard High School.

Thomas was united in marriage to Sherry Ebersole on October 21, 1967 in Bayard, Iowa.

Thomas served his Country in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. While there he acquired several distinguished service medals. Later in life, he was a proud member of the Patriot Guard.

Thomas worked at ADM, retiring after 38 years.

He loved golfing, watching the Hawkeyes, taking motorcycle trips and traveling in general. He enjoyed reading and loved socializing with family and friends; he also enjoyed socializing with his friends at his favorite watering hole – "Lyon’s Tap". He was a man who lived life to the fullest. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be sadly missed.

Tom-Tom is survived by His wife Sherry of Clinton; three daughters – Holly (Frank) Stoddard of Clinton, Tara (Troy) Rosenbohm of Preston and Amanda (Mike) Edwards of Clinton; seven grandchildren – Jordan, Justin and Darian, Tyler and Trace, Spencer and Zander; one great-granddaughter – Aaliyah; brother – Tim (Lupe) Thomas of Clinton; Aunt – Mary Pevestorf of Nevada, IA; with nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – Tam.
