Thomas Franklin Hart,73, of Clinton, Iowa went home to his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 8, 2016. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, at Greater True Love Baptist Church (955 South 18 St. Clinton, IA). A visitation will occur two hours prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Thomas was born January 18, 1942 in Fulton, Kentucky the son of Will and Earlene (Jones) Hart. He was a graduate of Fulton High School in Kentucky and would continue his education at Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee - graduating there with a Bachelors in Education.
Thomas was united in marriage to Mary Johnson on December 27, 1961 in Hickman, Kentucky.
Thomas was a member of the Greater True Love Baptist Church in Clinton. He was also Freemason and member of McNeal Lodge 21. He worked for 30+ years at Swift Company, as a Supervisor, and would later work at International Paper, finally retiring from ADM in Clinton.
Thomas enjoyed being around young kids and especially enjoyed coaching little league baseball and later enjoyed umpiring baseball games. He loved his family very much and will be sadly missed.
Thomas is survived by his wife Mary of Clinton, IA; three sons - David Hart of Clinton, IA, Thomas Hart of Clinton, IA, Kevin (Amanda) Hart of Clinton, IA; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother - Paul Hart of San Jose, CA; with a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Penny, one son Ricky, six sisters and two brothers.
