Obituary for Terry Lee Meyer
Terry Lee Meyer, 60, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Sunday, January 29, 2023. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with a graveside service and burial occurring this Spring. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Terry was born September 24, 1962 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Leroy Sr. and Lillian (Goodell) Meyer.
Terry worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Swinerton Renewable Energy, based in the Western United States.
Terry loved the outdoors and although he frequently travelled for work, he would always have his fishing rod ready and often pull over to fish if he spotted an enticing river, lake or stream. Additionally, he enjoyed hunting for mushrooms and raspberries in the wild. He was an amateur Taxidermist and Geologist, and while in Alaska, he enjoyed mining for Gold. He enjoyed cooking and periodically visiting the Casino playing games of chance.
Terry is survived by his daughters – Jessica Meyer of Clinton and Jennifer Freeman of Texas; his mother Diane Goodell of Camanche and his partner in life – Christina Meyerman of Clinton; one sister – Elenna Schroeder of Goose Lake and one brother – Brian Meyer of Ohio; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father – Leroy Meyer, Sr., step-father – Harry Goodell, brother Leroy Meyer, Jr, and a great-niece.
