His last breath on Earth was his first breath in Heaven - Terry Lee Hein, 62, of Camanche, Iowa went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 1, 2014 at his home. Honoring his final wish, cremations rites have been accorded, with a Memorial service taking place at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, at the Church of the Open Door in Clinton, Iowa. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the memorial service from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the Church. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Terry was born May 26, 1952 in Norfolk, Virginia the son of Charles and Ann (Reimers) Hein. He was united in marriage to Becky Easley on September 5, 2010 in Savanna, Illinois. Terry worked for various companies in the area including the Union Pacific Railroad, IPSCO Steel and ADM.
Terry turned his life completely over to Jesus Christ, not only preaching the Word of God but living his life in Christ; a true Christian lifestyle. He was an active member of the Church of the Open Door for over 30 years; he enjoyed participating in the men of God meetings there. His life through Jesus was reflective in his affiliations which included; member of the Holy Ghost Riders, member of ABATE of Iowa (A Brotherhood Aimed Towards Education) and he lead a Bible study group in Camanche. As an ordained minister he lead his fellow brothers and sisters in prayer during the annual blessing of the bikes held in Fulton, Illinois.
Terry enjoyed welding and metal fabrication and loved to paint and draw. He loved to ride his custom made Harley which he often used as an instrument to spread the Word of God. He enjoyed peaceful reflections sitting by his pond watching his gold fish. Terry always put the needs of others before his own, he left a legacy of love and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
Terry is survived by his wife Becky of Camanche, IA.; one daughter - Jennifer Hein of Grays Lake, Il., one son- Jonathan Hein of Grays Lake, IL., one grandson - Kearin; one step daughter - Jessica Pope of Clinton, IA.; step grandkids - Bailey, Aniya, Jacobe, Jaziya at home; his father - Charles (Slyvia) Hein of Geneseo, IL.; his mother Ann Musch of Clinton, IA.; two sisters - Robin Beard of Bettendorf, IA., Jan (Joe) Griessler of St. Charles, IL.; two brothers - Keith (Deb) Hein of Clinton, IA., Steve Hein of Clinton, IA., with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Terry in death were his grandparents.
