Obituary for Steve Busch
Steven “Steve” L. Busch, 57, of Clinton Iowa passed away at home on Thursday, September 5, 2019. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral services will take place at 3 pm on Wednesday, September 11, at Immanuel Lutheran Church – Charlotte, Iowa. A visitation will occur 2 hours prior from 1 pm until the service hour at the Church. Burial takes place at Rossiter Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Steve was born February 19, 1962 in Clinton, Iowa the son of George and Betty (Jahn) Busch. He was a graduate of DeWitt Central High School. Steve drove a truck for many years for several area transportation companies.
He was a long-time member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte, Iowa. He was also a member of the Clinton Moose Lodge.
Steve loved to socialize with family and friends and enjoyed telling stories. He enjoyed fishing and loved to watch all types of sports, especially following the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye’s. He also loved watching the Clinton Lumber Kings play baseball at Clinton’s Riverview Stadium. Friends in Charlotte will remember Steve delivering the QC Times newspaper for many years. Above all, he loved his entire family very much and will be sadly missed.
Steve is survived by his mother - Betty Busch of Clinton, Iowa; siblings – Jim (Sandy) Busch of Charlotte, IA, Joan (William) Simons of Stafford, VA, Gene (Kim) Busch Cannon City, CO; with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Steve in death were his grandparents, his father and nephew – Nick.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made can be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte.
