Shelly June Cartee, 51, of Clinton, Iowa passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Cremation rites have been accorded with a 1:00 p.m. Memorial service taking place on Saturday, September 5, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. A visitation will occur two hours prior to the memorial service from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Shelly was born January 18, 1964 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Olyen and Beth June (Houston) Cartee. Shelly was self-employed. She loved to crotchet and working cross word puzzles. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially taking long walks. She would always carry a little book that contained the poems that she enjoyed writing. She loved all animals, especially her dogs - Lilly, Rain, Jaba. She will be sadly missed by her family.
Shelly is survived by her son - Tom Noble of Clinton, IA.; three sisters - Sandy (Keith) Huizenga of Morrison, IL., Sheila Cartee Flood of Clinton, IA., Janis Cartee of Clinton, IA.; three brothers - Herb (Judy) Cartee of Moline, IL., Don (Marcia) Cartee of Clinton, IA., Charlie (Patty) Cartee of Clinton, IA., with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister - Pam.
