Obituary for Sharon Kay Lage

Sharon K. Lage, 70, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home on Saturday. Following the service, cremation rites will be accorded with burial at a later date at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sharon was born February 16, 1946 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Vernon and Inez (Hitchcock) Jenson. Her father passed away at an early age and her step-father, Ernest Green, would play an important role in her life.
Sharon worked as a Welder at Collis, Inc. retiring in 2008 after 33 years of service.
Sharon loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. She also enjoyed reading and going out dancing. She loved playing Bingo and playing slot machines at the Casino. Above all, she loved her family very much and will be sadly missed.
Sharon is survived by her three daughters - Ellen Waltz of Des Moines, IA, Kimberly (Kenneth) Scott of Maryville, MO, and Jackie Arnold of Clinton, IA; one son - Ralph (Billie) Liston of Clinton, IA; five step-children - Cindy Shepherd of Clinton, IA, Clif Shepherd of Palmyra, MO, Chris Shepherd of Clinton, IA, Curtis Shepherd of Bettendorf, IA and Charlene Bacunawa of Clinton, IA; with 26 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters - Doris Rayburn of Arkansas and Phyllis Page of Clinton, IA and one brother - Vernon Jenson of Clinton, IA; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Sharon in death were her parents, her step-father and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made can be directed to the family.
