Obituary for Scott Michael Schaefer

Scott Michael Schaefer, 28, of Clinton, Iowa passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of his life taking place from 5 pm to 8 pm on Friday, July 6, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive) – please dress casually. Burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Scott was born December 3, 1988 in Sterling, Illinois, the son of Michael and Kenya (Johnson) Schaefer. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School.
Scott was united in marriage to Arin Koenig on February 3, 2018 in Clinton, Iowa. He was a member of the Christian Community Fellowship Church. Scott worked at Harbor Freight in Clinton.
He enjoyed playing video games and playing sports. He also enjoyed being outdoors – especially snowboarding, skiing, swimming and often just taking long walks. He enjoyed singing, especially during Karaoke. He loved going to a motocross event recently with his Dad in St. Louis. He loved his fur-baby, his cat – Mya. Above all, he loved his wife and family very much. He was a very social and loving person and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
Scott is survived by his wife - Arin of Clinton, IA; his mother – Kenya Bernard of Clinton, IA and his father – Michael (Andrea) Schaefer of Clinton, IA; 4 sisters – Arlene (Ryan) Wiersema of Morrison, IL, Tiffany Vogel of Clinton, IA, Chelsea Williams of Clinton, IA and Chelsea Havens of Clinton, IA; 3 brothers – Damon (Alexis) Walters of Clinton, IA, Dustin Williams of Clinton, IA and Shawn Schaefer of Morrison, IL; his mother in-law – Miki Kiester of Clinton, IA; 1 sister in-law – April Koenig of Clinton, IA and 1 brother in-law Aidan Kiester of Clinton, IA; with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his fur-baby Mya.
Preceding Scott in death were his paternal grandmother and 1 aunt.
