Sandra Lynn Yarnell, 69, of Clinton passed away peacefully at the Eagle Point Nursing and Rehab Center on May 31, 2012. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8th at the Church of the Open Door, Clinton, Iowa. A visitation will occur from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7th, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 manufacturing drive). Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sandra was born on November 24th, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Rothert) Radziewicz. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1960 and attended Clinton Community College. She married James Ford on December 7th, 1963, they later divorced. She married William Yarnell on July 26th, 1970 in Garden Plains, Illinois.
Sandra worked at the Clinton Herald as a Copy Editor and was also a Homemaker. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, she loved reading, especially on her favorite interests, health and nutrition. She loved her family and loved animals.
Sandra is survived by one daughter - Renee Lynn (Bill) Mitchell of Virginia Beach, VA; one step-daughter- Deborah (Derek) Wilson of Clinton, IA; one grandson David Wilson; one sister - Mary (EJ) Petitti of Florida; one brother- Stephen Radziewicz of Waverly, IA., and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband William.
