Obituary for Sandra M. "Sandy" Poppen
Sandra “Sandy” M. Poppen, 66, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at MercyOne Medical Center on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with no services. Private burial occurs at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Sandy was born August 29, 1954 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Mary Evelyn (Smith) Poppen. She was a 1972 graduate of Clinton High School.
Sandy was baptized Lutheran. She worked for the Department of Human Services, in Clinton, of 25+ years.
Sandy loved the many dogs and cats she had throughout her life. Although she was a quiet woman who kept to herself, she loved her family and friends very much and will be sadly missed.
Sandy is survived by her four nephews.
Preceding Sandy in death are her parents and three brothers.
