Obituary for Sandra Lou Moberg (Housenga)
Sandra Lou Moberg “Sandy”, 76, of Albany; passed away at her home on July 28th, 2022.
Sandy was born July 1, 1946, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Garrett and Bessie Housenga. She married Randy Moberg on August 2,1974.
Sandy loved spending time with her family and friends. Sandy adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved Winnie the Pooh. Sandy also enjoyed walks around her Albany neighborhood and her nightly talks with one of her closest friends, Gerry.
Sandy traveled to Las Vegas whenever she could with her husband Randy. She had a special love for Arizona as she lived there from 1984 to 1997. While in Arizona, Sandy and Randy owned a vending machine company called BT Vending. Sandy took great pleasure in all thing’s family. She enjoyed running errands with her daughter Lori and talking to Brenda 4 or 5 times a day. Playing games with her friends on her phone. Sandy leaves behind many loved family members.
Sandy is survived by her brother, Gary Housenga and sister-in-law Sandy Housenga.
Her daughter Shelia (Tom) Klonicki. Grand-son Jared (Inna) Smith, granddaughter Brittany (Mike) Helland, grandson Zachary Klonicki; and great-grandson Lennon. Sandy had and a brand-new great granddaughter Kenzleigh.
Her daughter Lori (Brian Holcomb) Swift; granddaughter Amanda (Bob) Brechon, great - grandson Markus Brechon and great-granddaughter Jordan Brechon; Her grandson Trevor (Cortney) Swift, and great- grandsons Logan, Aiden, and Carson Swift; granddaughter Kristen (Nick) Stoddard, great-granddaughter Lillian and great-grandson Jameson.
Her daughter Peggy (Rick) Seeling; grandson Ryan (Michelle) Seeling; and grandson Chad (Erin) Seeling.
Her son Brian (Annetta) Ammon; grandson Zachary; granddaughter Tatianna; great-granddaughter Zoey.
Her daughter Teresa Moberg; granddaughter Brenda (Jason) Martin; great-grandson’s Hunter, Parker, Andrew and Jackson. Granddaughter Margie Sparrowgrove, great-granddaughters Aiyanna, Janessa, and Jayla. Granddaughter Sara (Vince Holst) Sparrowgrove; great-grandkids Layla, Landon, Kruz and Kynleigh.
Her daughter Brenda Lange; granddaughter Niki (Brent) Mendoza; great-grandkids Trey Stoddard, Faith, Brayden, Merida, and Christian Mendoza.
Her son Steve Langy; granddaughter Sarah (Grant) McDonald; great-grandson Miles.
Many nieces, nephews, and cousins, too many to count. But all included with love.
She is also survived by special friends, Gerry Rock, of Albany; Harriett Maybee, of Rockford and Norma and Terry Rowbottom, of Arizona.
Proceeding Sandy in death were her parents, Garrett and Bessie Housenga; husband, Randy Moberg; son-in-law Troy Lange (Brenda); granddaughter Tammy Lange (Brenda & Troy); great granddaughter Emma Seeling (Ryan & Michelle) and friend Cecil Maybee.
A celebration of life will be held for Sandy and Randy at “The Shed” in Albany on August 20th, from 12:00-5:00 at the following address: 13095 Albany Road, Albany, IL.
