Sandra "Sandy" Benadom, 78, of DeWitt, Iowa passed away peacefully at Westwing Place Nursing Home on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
Sandy was born March 13, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Alice (Duncan) Parker. She was a graduate of Clinton High School. Sandy was united in marriage to Franklin "Frank" Benadom on March 28, 1964 in Clinton, Iowa. Sandy worked at River View Manor Nursing Home, as a CNA, for 15 years. Her time spent caring for people in the nursing home brought her a lot of joy. She concluded her career working as a housekeeper at the Davenport Country Club. Sandy loved taking motorcycle rides with her husband and going out dancing with him. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her pets. Above all, she loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank Benadom of DeWitt, IA; daughter Deborah (Mike) Teeken of St. George, UT; son Kevin (Jacqueline) Haack of Strafford, MO; brother Howard "Butch" Parker of Circleville, OH; along with seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two nieces, as well as many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Janet Parker.
Visitation will take place at Lemke Funeral Homes (South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive) at 4 PM on Monday, March 12. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6 PM. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service with burial at a later date.
