Ruth Wilson, 72, of Savanna blessedly went to our Lord with her entire family at her side on Thursday, November 8th, 2012. Cremation rights have been accorded with a memorial service to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 12th, 2012 at the New Hope Assembly of God Church, Savannah, Illinois. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ruth was born January 4th, 1940 in Stanley, Wisconsin, the daughter of Julius and Eleanor (Westby) Klein. She attended Savanna, High School.
She married Fred E. Smith Sr., on September 2nd, 1956; married 28 years. They had five children together. Ruth and Fred later divorced.
Ruth married Robert Wilson on November 9th, 1984. Robert passed away September 23rd of this year.
Ruth enjoyed plastic canvas crafting, listening to books, camping, roller skating, watching Hallmark movies and wrestling, above all she loved to spend time with her family.
Ruth is survived by her five children - Fred (Amy Kosier) Smith of Savanna, IL., Gary (Belinda) Smith of Fredricktown, MO., Greg (Roberta) Smith of Savanna, IL.,, Kevin Smith of Savanna, IL., Sharon (Bill) Chadwick of Savanna, IL.; three step-children - Tanya (Jerimy) Schauwecker of Savanna, IL., Heidi (Ralph) Lohmann and Timothy (Rebecca) Wilson all from Mt. Carroll, IL.; 23 Grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Fred Smith, just recently her husband Robert Wilson, one sister and three brothers.
