Obituary for Russell Annear

Russell W. Annear, 78, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus on November 28th, 2011. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 1st, at 11:00 a.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes- South Chapel. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 30th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes- South Chapel. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery Clinton, Iowa. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family.
Russell was born February 6th, 1933 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Morris and Eva (Kruse) Annear. Russell was a 1952 graduate of Clinton High School. He served in the United States Navy for four years.
Russell was united in marriage to Darlene Hansen on October 10th, 1960 in Clinton, Iowa.
Russell was employed with the Chicago and North Western rail road for 39-1/2 years working in the signal department. He was a member of the Moose, the Jim Beam Club, the Brotherhood Signalman, and a member of Union Local 43.
Russell was a devoted husband and father and loved his grandchildren and great granddaughter. He was an avid follower of the Dallas Cowboys and Boston Celtics.
Russell is survived by his wife Darlene of Clinton; three sons – Randy (Maureen) Annear of Clinton, Rodney Annear of Morrison, Illinois, Ronald (Pam) Annear of Clinton; three grandchildren - Sierra, Karlee and Blake; one great granddaughter Marlee; one brother- Raymond of Cruces, New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers – Richard and Robert.
