Obituary for Russel Frank Runge
Russel Frank Runge, 70, of Camanche, Iowa, passed away at Trinity Hospital, Rock Island, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of his life taking place from 12 pm to 1 pm on Saturday, March 21, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Burial takes place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Russel was born November 30, 1949 in Glenn Ellyn, Illinois the son of Wilfred and Bessy (Cubic) Runge. He was a graduate of Glenn Ellyn High School and acquired a degree at the College of DuPage.
Russel was a long-time supporter of AA and a frequently sponsor – always willing to help those in need.
Russel was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He was also an avid fisherman, enjoyed shooting pool, watching movies and riding motorcycles, and loved his dogs very much. Above all, he loved his son and grandsons very much and will be greatly missed.
Russel is survived by his son - Nate Runge; grandsons – Dane Taylor Runge and Trenton Runge all of Camanche and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
