Roswitha "Rosie" Baker, 60, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Sunday, December 18, 2016. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of her life will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur one hour prior from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Rosie was born May 28, 1956 in Wiensberg Germany, the daughter Mr. and Mrs. Friedrich Rehse. She graduated from German technical schools and upon coming to the United States, she would go on to acquire an Applied Science degree as an administrative assistant. She was a secretary for several firms for many years.
Rosie was very proud of her German heritage. Above all, she loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family.
Rosie is survived by her two sons – Manny Alvarez of Clinton, IA and Ronnie Baker of Camanche, IA and two grandchildren.
Preceding Rosie in death were her parents and one sister.
