Ronald Ray Andersen, 70, of Low Moor, Iowa passed away at Mercy Living Center - North on January 30th, 2013. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5th, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4th, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn cemetery immediately following the funeral service. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ronald was born June 28th, 1942 in Sabula, Iowa, the son of Arnold and Vera (Rowether) Andersen. He was a 1960 graduate of Clinton High School. Following his high school graduation, Ronald enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving for three years achieving the rank of Seaman 1st Class. On March 20th, 1972 he was united in marriage to Jane Heath in Nashville, Tennessee.
For many years Ronald worked for A & V Transportation as a over the road truck driver.
Ronald loved watching sports, especially baseball and basketball. He loved his family and will be sadly missed.
Ronald is survived by one daughter - Tausha Foreman of Clinton, IA; one granddaughter - Cheyenne Foreman of Clinton, IA; one sister- Barbara (Jim) Whitney of Albany, IL; three brothers - Dean (Janine) Andersen of Preston, IA., Larry ( Connie) Andersen) of Clinton, IA., Randy Andersen of Chandler, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jane and son- Steve.
