Obituary for Robert "Bob" Morgan

Robert "Bob" L. Morgan, 84 of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at Mercy Medical Center – North on Saturday, February 3, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur two hours prior to the funeral service on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services with burial at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Bob was born September 1, 1933 in Washington, Iowa the son of Edward and Ethel (Hesseltine) Morgan. Following his graduation from High School, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served as a Corporal with various duties – a veteran of the Korean War.
Bob was united in marriage to Twila Dunbar Arp on September 15, 1960 in Rock Island, Illinois.
Bob drove a truck for many years for various companies. He enjoyed many things throughout his life including: following the Chicago Cubs, going to the Casino, socializing with friends and family, taking boat trips with his brother Ron and sometimes just taking long walks. Above all, he loved his family very much.
Bob is survived by his daughter – Carolyn Villareal of Milan, Il; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters – Mary (Ron) Newman of Clinton, Margie (Stan) Rolston of Clinton and Francis (Dick) Morrow of Wayland, IA; 1 sister in-law – Deb Edfors of Fulton; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and special friend – Tina.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents, his wife, 7 brothers – Howard Van Winkle, Jerry, Pete, Dave, Guy, Martin and Ronald Edfors; 1 half-brother – infant Robert E. Morgan; 3 sisters – Thelma Farrier, Francine Lowe and Debra Keller; twin half-sisters – Ina and Nina.
