Obituary

Robert Madden, 89, of Davenport, Iowa (formerly of Clinton), passed away at Manor Care Health Services on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with private family service occurring. Private burial takes place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Robert was born July 10, 1929 in Burlington, Iowa the son of Louie and Lena (Jipp) Madden. Following High School, Robert enlisted in the United State Navy, a veteran of the Korean War.

Robert was a Professor of Mathematics, teaching many years at Grand View College in Des Moines. While in Clinton, he was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.

Robert owned farm land and although his disabilities prevented him from working his land, he still loved spending time there and enjoyed talking about farming. He also enjoyed socializing with family and friends and loved going to family reunions.

Robert is survived by seven nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and friends.

Preceding Robert in death were his parents, a bother and a sister.
