Robert D. Engler, 92, of Largo, Florida passed away September 14, 2011 at SunCoast Hospice in Largo,
Florida.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South
Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive. Visitation will begin 10:00a.m. Saturday, until time of service.
Lemke Funeral Homes has been assisting the family.

Robert was born February 25, 1919 in Early, Iowa the son of Denzil and Ella (Scothorn) Engler.

Robert married Mary Jones June 19, 1945. Mary passed away June 22, 2001. He later married Theresa
Barrick June 26, 2009 in Florida. She survives him.

Robert served The United States Army during 1939-1945.
He was stationed in Ft. Des Moines, Iowa, Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO., and Camp
Crowder, Mo. Robert also served the Active Reserves for 7 more years.

Robert retired from McEleney Autocenter as a parts manager. He also worked for Jack Glew Implement as a
Parts manager. Robert was a hugh Cubs Fan, but he later became a Tampa Bay Rays Fan. Robert also
loved to go bowling.

Robert is survived by, his wife Theresa of Largo, Florida, 1 son, John (Mary Jo) Engler, of Springfield, MO.,
1 daughter Debra Bousman, of Clinton, grandchildren, Joseph and Robert Engler, Briana Hahn, Brett Bousman
and Brooke McCoy, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Mary of 56 years.
