Obituary for Robert "Bobby" Anderson

Robert "Bobby" A. Anderson, 67, of Clinton Iowa passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, January 13, at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 16, at Lemke Funeral Home - North Chapel (2304 North Second Street). A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, at Lemke Funeral Homes - North Chapel. Pallbearers will be Zakry King, Jacob Shadle, Joseph Shadle, Tyler King, Steve Anderson and Gary Wilson. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bob was born March 7, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Lillian (Chase) and John F. Anderson. He was a 1965 graduate of Clinton High School. Bob worked for Dairy Pak in Clinton for many years and later for the City of Clinton - Sanitation Department for 15 years.
Bob was a very happy person who loved playing cards and socializing with his friends about the 'old days' and reminiscing about his earlier days. He loved all sports including but certainly not limited to the Cubs, the Iowa Hawkeyes and all football games - in fact his TV was set to a sports channel 24 hours a day. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Bob is survived by two daughters - Christina (Mike) Ketelsen of Clinton, IA. and Julie (Jeremy) Anderson of Clinton, IA.; two sons - John Howes of Clinton, IA. and Robert Anderson of Moline, IL.; six grandsons - Zakry King, Jacob Shadle, Joseph Shadle, Tyler King, Johnathan Shadle, Jeremiah Shadle all of Clinton, IA.; one sister - Eleanor Jones of Clinton, IA. and three brothers - John (Linda) Anderson of Tucson, AZ., Don Anderson of Clinton, IA. and Mike Anderson of Clinton, IA.; with one aunt, one uncle, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents and one brother.
Memorials made will be directed to the wishes of the family.
The family would like to share a heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Eagle Point Nursing Home for the compassionate and thoughtful care shown to Robert.
