Obituary for Richard "Pete" Petersen

Richard 'Pete' Petersen, 77, of Maquoketa, Iowa passed away peacefully at Crestridge Nursing Home on April 22, 2015. Prayers of final commendation and farewell will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will be held one and a half hours prior to the funeral service from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Richard was born June 21, 1937 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Clarence and Francis (Cook) Petersen. Richard served his Country in the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Pamela (Plambeck) Petersen in 1988. After many years he retired from Alcoa.
Richard enjoyed building model trains and had a fascination with automobiles. He and his wife also loved listening to (and following) Elvis.
Richard is survived by his wife Pamela of Maquoketa, IA.; two sons - Tim and Rich; one daughter - Carrie; two step children; Tara (Earl) and Shane (Natasha) all from the area; one sister in-law - Karen Petersen of Keokuk, IA.
Preceding Richard in death were his parents, one daughter and one brother.
Memorials made will be directed to the wishes of the family.
