Richard “Ricky” L. Lanning, 58, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Friday, June 19, 2020. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of his life taking place from 12 pm to 3 pm on Saturday, August 15, at the Silver Dollar Saloon. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Ricky was born December 10, 1961. Ricky worked at Newman Cleaning Systems at WestRock, Lateke’ Sporting Goods, Better Family Furniture, Skyline Center – as the Green House Mgr. and Rastelli’s.

Ricky loved his Church family at the Church of the Open Door.

Ricky loved riding his bike around town and socializing with friends. He enjoyed stopping at the River City Pub and the Silver Dollar to enjoy a cold Diet Pepsi. Above all, he loved his family and friends very much and will be sadly missed. Finally, everyone who knew Ricky will forever miss his always opening phrase to people “Hey Buddy…”.

Ricky is survived by his mother, one brother two sisters; with many nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Preceding Ricky in death was his father.
