Richard 'Dick' Douglas Kuhse, 74, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Mercy Medical Center - North on Monday, August 10, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, at Lemke Funeral Homes - North Chapel (2304 North Second Street). A visitation will occur two hours prior to the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Following the funeral service cremation rites will be accorded with private burial at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dick was born October 13, 1940 in Lanark, Illinois the son of Earnest and Berniece (Cave) Kuhse. Dick served his country in the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Laura Boutwell on February 26, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa.
Dick enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. Although he kept to himself mostly, he was always there to help his family or a good friend. Above all, he loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Dick is survived by his wife - Laura of Clinton, IA.; two daughters - Melissa Kuhse of Clinton, IA., Kalli (Shaun) Leslie of Modesto, CA.; one son - Wade Kuhse of Clinton, IA.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters - Mary Andresen of Clinton, IA., Joyce Hackney of CA., Barbra (Chuck) Doney of San Angelo, TX.; with many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.
