My wife, Marla, and I visited Uncle Reine and Aunt Janet on August 11, 2002; see attached photos. We had great fun talking and laughing. My favorite story of Uncle Reine and me was when at age 18 I visited Clinton whereat I stayed with different Aunts and Uncles (both of my parents were from Clinton). I had a rust-bucket of a ’67 Ford Mustang that constantly broke down and whose hood literally was held down via bungee cords. These days such a vehicle could never possibly pass inspection. As good luck had it, I safely drove to Clinton and motored around town visiting my relatives with nothing going wrong with my Mustang until, you guessed it, it broke down in Uncle Reine’s driveway – I actually coasted to a stop midway in the driveway after it conked out. I was slated to spend a night and of course I did not mention that my car just broke down because the greeting from him and Aunt Janet was wonderful, the food plentiful, and the beer was flowing. Well, the next morning I had to come clean and mentioned that my car would not start and in fact had broken down as I coasted into the driveway. You can imagine the look on Uncle Reine’s face. Not that he did not love me and all that, but the thought of my moving in was a bit too much. I have never seen a mechanic work so diligently, effectively, efficiently, or quickly on my Mustang as I did Uncle Reine. He did such a marvelous job that I successfully drove all the way to Houston, TX, after leaving his driveway. Boy, I smiled and thanked him privately and wished blessings upon him the entire time I drove to Houston. Keith Yackshaw
