Obituary for Raymond McGinn

Raymond R. "Muggs" McGinn, 90, of Clinton passed away Friday, October 14th, at Mercy Living Center South. A private service will be held Sunday, October 16th. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family.
Raymond was born January 1st, 1921, in Clinton, the son of Frank and Lilly (Kelschner) McGinn. He graduated from Lyons High School in 1940.
Raymond served in the United States Army during WWII from November 1942 thru November 1945. On January 31st, 1942 he married Jane Gibson in Clinton.
For 27 years Raymond worked as a milkman for Elmwood Dairy, he was also a bank courier for the Banks in Clinton. He was also a driver for the Great River Bend Transit in Clinton. He was a member of Prince of Peace parish, Prince of Peace School PTA, The American Legion, AMVETS and The Moose.
Raymond enjoyed watching sports especially the Chicago Clubs. He was a history buff and enjoyed writing letters to the Editor on various topics. Additionally, he loved his pets and enjoyed ball-room dancing with his wife.
Survivors include: 1 daughter Debby (Brent) Refbord-Bopes of Camanche, Iowa, 1 son – Michael (Sheila) McGinn of Clinton, 2 grandsons – Sean (Ellen Parker) of Valparaiso, Indiana and Michael (Tabitha) Refbord of Portage, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by: his Parents and his wife Jane.
