Obituary for Phyllis Lohberg

Phyllis Lohberg (Behr) ST. PAUL, Minn. — Phyllis Lohberg (Behr), 65, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away December 13, 2013 at Episcopal Church Rehabilitation Facility in St. Paul, Minnesota after fighting a battle with cancer with the assured comfort of her children by her side. Cremation rights have been accorded with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to be held at Bemis Pavilion (formerly known as Dupont pavilion) 2505 Camanche Industrial Park Drive, Camanche, Iowa. The service will be held on Thursday night December 19, 2013 from 4 to 7p.m. for family and friends to come share memories and stories.
A Graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday December 20, 2013 at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Phyllis was born on March 5, 1948, the daughter of Harold Behr and Dorothy (Schmidtz) Behr. She was a graduate of Clinton High School class of 1966. She began her 30 year career as an operator at Carlon/Lamson & Session, and was later promoted to a forklift driver/material handler. Also during that 30 years while building a career she raised a family of 4 children. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her children and grand children attending different racing events including "Mud Bogs". She enjoyed watching and occasionally you would see her in the driver's seat. She also enjoyed sewing and knitting, cooking and shopping, doing puzzle books, and watching her favorite reality shows. Her spunky sense of humor and her keen witty and "put you in your place" personality will truly and dearly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Phyllis was survived by her two daughters- Kelly Rogers of MN; Wannette (Ron) Moore of Erie IL; two sons- Rick Ramig of FL, and Chad Lohberg of Thomson, IL; Two sisters-Sharon Stevenson of Clinton IA; and Carolyn Reedy of Preston IA, one brother-Dennis (Suzanne) Behr of Clinton IA. She has 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grand children and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers - Ron Behr and Dean Behr.
