Peggy Sue Richardson, ‘Peg”, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at the age of 56, in Castle Rock, CO. She was residing at Assured Assisted Living.

Peg was born June 25, 1962, in Davenport, Iowa, to James and Patricia (Sawvell) Richardson. She was a 1980 graduate of Camanche High School, Camanche, Iowa, where she was recently inducted into her high school hall of fame for her athletic achievements. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, where she attended on a softball scholarship and was a die-hard Husker fan. She was known to run across parking lots to shake hands with anyone wearing Husker gear. Go Big Red! She went on to earn her Master’s Degree from Regis University, Denver, CO in International Business, graduating with honors. She worked as a manager for Peoples Natural Gas in Iowa, Colorado and Missouri. She was a Senior Business Analyst for the City of Colorado Springs and was an IT Project Manager for The Federal Government, Department of Interior at the Denver Federal Center. Throughout her career she earned numerous awards for her team building skills, leadership, diversity and community service. She served as President of the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce as well as serving on many community boards and committees.

Peg embraced life, living life to the fullest – “Rock’n and roll’n and loving life,” was her credo. She loved her family and friends and having great adventures, especially with grandkids, Aiden, Logan, Emersen, Dylan and Gavin. She loved attending all of their school and sports functions. She loved Colorado’s mountains and being outdoors, camping, hiking, fly-fishing and golfing. Peg had a wonderful ability to reach out to people and touch them with her positive energy, she never knew a stranger. She will be remembered for her zest for life, infectious smile and best hugs ever.

She is survived by her partner of 24 years, Donna Jack; Donna’s sons, Bryan (Jennifer) Jack, Adam Jack and Jared Jack, a brother, Steven (Angie) Richardson; sister, Cheryl (Frank) Pray, nieces, Kasey LeQue, Kelli (Jeff) Rickertsen, Kalee (Tanner) Kleppe and Ashlynn Richardson, nephew Michael (Brandi) Pray and Logan Richardson and many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
