Patricia Ann Fairbanks, 71, of La Crosse, Wisconsin (formally of Clinton) passed away March 2, 2014 unexpectedly after a short battle with cancer. There will be no visitation and cremation rites have been accorded with a private family interment service at a later date at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements locally.
Patricia was born on December 9, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa to Ralph and Eleanor (Atkinson) Tate. Patricia was a graduate of Mount Saint Clare Academy. She married Arthur Frett in October 1961. She later married James Fairbanks on November 17, 1978 in Clinton, IA.
Patricia loved to travel with her husband on their motorcycle, gambling and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Jim; her sons David (Elizabeth) Frett of Clinton, IA, Jeff (Lisa) Frett of St. Albans, VT, Don Frett of Onalaska, WI and Greg Frett of Osseo, WI; 11 grandchildren: Matt, Ryan, Michael, Rebecca, Sarah, Sean, Colin, Kevin, Dylan, Jonathan and Kayla; two sisters, Mary Korous of Christiana, TN and Barbara (Charles) Cooley of Clinton, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents
Memorials may be given to the family to go to the St. Baldricks's Foundation.
