Patricia Carline Bickford, 83, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at her home with family by her side on June 9th, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11th at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel 2610 Manufacturing Drive (west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will be held 2 hours prior from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Per her wishes, cremation rights will be accorded with burial at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Patricia was born March 10th, 1930 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Thomas and Genevieve (Cramer) Carstens. She was a 1948 graduate of Clinton High School. She was united in marriage to John Bickford on April 10th, 1950 in Clinton, Iowa.
Patricia was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She worked for Jewell for 10 years.
Patricia was a very avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was very active and enjoyed carpentry, painting, boating and fishing, camping and spending time in her garden. Patricia enjoyed friends and family; she was very special to her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
Patricia is survived by her three daughters - Barbara Kaci (Shon) Monahan of Florida, Marcia (Jeff) Gentz of Bloomington, MN., Laura Bickford of Clinton, IA., one son - Scott (Theresa) Bickford of Clinton, IA.; seven grandchildren and five great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter - Tessy, one grandson- Chad Bickford and one sister - Marilyn.
