Obituary for Orville "Butch" Boutwell

Orville “Butch” LeVerne Boutwell, 72, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away at home with his family by his side, on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Honoring his wishes cremation rites have been accorded with a private celebration of his life taking place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Butch was born on July 5, 1949 in Clinton, the son of Orville Sr. and Eleanor (Clannon) Boutwell. Butch served his Country in the US. Army, a veteran of the Vietnam War, with twelve total years of service. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Group.

Butch worked at Carlon in the Maintenance Department.

Butch loved collecting unique items especially medieval weapons and statues of Dragons. He also had an extensive Native American collection. Butch enjoyed his Harley Davidson motor cycles. He also took great pride in tending to his rose bush and overall keeping his yard nicely trimmed. Butch also enjoyed caring for the various Parrots he had throughout his life. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.

Butch is survived by one daughter- Jessica (Andrew) Fraser of Clinton; three sons- Jason, Joshua and Jeremy Boutwell, all of Clinton; ten grandchildren; two sisters- Ethel Kries of Cheney, WA, and Laura Kuhse of Clinton; one brother- Stephen Boutwell of Clinton; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Proceeding him in death are his parents; one sister- Sharon; one brother- Larry; and one brother-in-law- Richard Kuhse.
