Orlin Jon Mitchell, 58, of Fulton, Illinois, passed away at MercyOne Medical Center in Clinton on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service occurs at 12pm on Sunday, August 8, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation occurs 1 hour prior from 11am until the service hour. A celebration of life will immediately follow the memorial service at Lyon’s Tap (224 Main Ave). Burial will take place at a later late. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Orlin was born on October 11, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Ronald and Ruth (Fisher) Mitchell. He was united in marriage to Wendy Zimmer on October 18, 2002.
Orlin worked for Jacobs Construction at ADM in the maintenance department for over 25 years.
He enjoyed collecting old cars and took pride in his two 57’ Chevy’s. Orlin also liked collecting and listening to juke boxes, especially music on the 45’s. He loved living in the country, enjoyed motor cycling and going to auctions. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.
Orlin is survived by his wife- Wendy of Fulton, IL; three brothers- Roger (Carol) Mitchell of Fulton, IL, Randy and Billy Mitchell both of Clinton, IA; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents; two brothers- Ronald and Mark; and one sister- Gloria.
