Obituary for Neil Koch
Neil Edward Koch, 65, of Camanche, Iowa passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Neil’s passion was helping people - even in death he will help doctors understand the body’s Physiology and disease as he deeded his body to the University of Iowa. A celebration of Neils life will take place at a later date and will be communicated here, so check back often. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Neil was born December 22, 1956 in Marshalltown, Iowa the son of Leonard Sr., and Francis (Peters) Koch. Following High School, he earned is Associates Degree in Applied Science.
Neil was united in marriage to Twila on December 27, 2006 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Neil worked for many years as the Custodian at Clinton High School.
He loved to socialize and genuinely took a very positive outlook on life and people. He would, as mentioned, help anyone he could in need. He loved his fur-baby’s – his pets Cody and Kinze. Neil was a loyal and dedicated husband and father whose passion was always taking care of his family.
Neil is survived by his father- Leonard Sr., his wife Twila of Camanche, IA, three children - Ryan (Sharyn) Koch of Ohio, Candace (Matthew) Chapman of Ohio and Taylor (Samuel) Crenshaw of West Des Moines, IA., his siblings - Jean Davenport of Preston, IA, Leonard Jr. (Marie) Koch of WI and Roxanne (Curtis) Adams of Fulton, IL; four grandchildren - Ryley, Quinton, Lincoln and Victoria; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother – Timothy.
