Obituary for Nadine Fern Pollard

Nadine Fern Pollard, 96, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at Mercy Living Center – South Campus on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial service will occur at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. A visitation will occur from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at the Funeral Home on Monday. Burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Nadine was born September 12, 1920 in Low Moor, Iowa to Clarence and Luella Reed. Nadine graduated from Clinton High School, the class of 1938. On March 23, 1941, Nadine married Russell Edward Pollard. After her husband's tour of duty in World War II, the couple settled in Clinton, IA. They had three children Russell, Andy and Sande.
Nadine enjoyed gardening, camping, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She also loved all wildlife especially feeding the wild birds and squirrels. Above all she loved providing for her family.
She is survived by her husband Russ, her three children, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and her sister Mary.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Velda and brother Jack.
Nadine's final weeks were in the care of Mercy Living Center where she passed with peace and dignity. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
