Mildred A. Miller, 86, of New Boston, Illinois (formerly of Clinton) passed away Tuesday June 19th at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 manufacturing drive, Clinton). A visitation will be held before the funeral from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Mildred was born December 7th, 1925 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Archie and Helen (Bloom) Shadle. Mildred was a 1944 graduate of Clinton High School.
Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton. She was a Registered Nurse for 30+ years and worked for Dr. Marme at Medical Associates for 26 years.
Mildred loved to dance and enjoyed working in the garden. She dearly loved her great grandchildren - Isabel, Sydney and Conner.
Mildred is survived by one daughter - Janice Martin of Aurora, IL; five grandchildren - Paul (Eileen) Hansen of Heartford, IA, Douglas VanOosten of Aurora, IL, Brian VanOosten of Aurora,IL, Tracy Lencioni of Fort Myers FL, Jennifer Hansen of Clinton; one brother Raymond Shadle of Clinton and her companion of 15 years- Dexter Weller of New Boston, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter - Linda Hansen, one son - Douglas Miller; one granddaughter- Angela Hansen; 2 sisters - Arlene Burgess, Evelyn Steenhard; one brother - Harold Shadle.
