Michael E. Snodgrass, 57, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at his home on October 8, 2013. Cremation rights have been accorded with a celebration of Michael's life to take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
The sisters and brothers of Michael E. Snodgrass would like to invite family and friends to a celebration of Michael's life and share the many memories of him on October 27, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Regency Inn, located at 11522 Lincoln Way in Clinton, Iowa. Michael was born September 17, 1956 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Donald and Lucy (Lyman) Hinz-Snodgrass.
Michael worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad and at ADM for various construction firms. He was a member of Local 25 - Pipefitters union.
Michael was a very kind and generous soul. Living as a person of simple means, he never considered himself to be less fortunate and would frequently take strangers in to provide shelter from the outside elements or give someone else in need any help he could, including the shirt off his back or any food that he had available. Michael loved spending time with his family and loved his best friend and companion, his dog Angel. He was a kind person and will be sadly missed by his family and the many friends that knew him.
Michael is survived by one daughter - Amber MacGrath of Clinton, IA.; two granddaughters; one grandson; two sisters - Donna (Chester) Snow of Morrison, IL., Cindy (Billy) Sims of Clinton, IA.; two brothers - Robert Snodgrass of Chadwick, IL., Christopher Snodgrass of Chadwick, IL. and many nieces, nephews, and one very special niece Tiffany Sims of Clinton, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers- Donny Snodgrass and John "Butch" Snodgrass.
